PBS, Space Foundation bring “superstars” event to Space Symposium

Rocky Mountain PBS and the Space Foundation are partnering for a public event that brings together some of the world’s greatest scientific minds at the International Space Symposium April 16-19.

The symposium and PBS are presenting “Superstars of Space and Science with Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson” April 19 from 2 to 7 p.m. The event is open to the public and is a joint fundraiser for the two organizations. Tickets are $100.

People attending the event also have access to the symposium’s exhibit hall and a seat at the “Meeting of the Mega Minds” panel session moderated by Bill Nye the Science Guy. They also will get to attend a private reception with Tyson, who is the host of the show Cosmos and has a PhD in astrophysics from Columbia. He has researched star formation, exploding stars, dwarf galazies and the structure of the Milky Way.
