State will try third time for eco-devo incentives

Two Colorado senators plan to introduce a bill to increase economic development funding in next year’s budget – but that money has failed to be included twice already.

The Senate debates Colorado’s 21013 budget today and there are hopes that the $5.7 million requested by Gov. John Hickenlooper will make it into the next fiscal year’s budget.

Republicans oppose the measure, claiming it takes money away from education.
