Pinnacol Assurance, the state’s workers’ compensation insurance company, is trying a different approach – but without much success, reports the Denver Business Journal.
The company is pitching the idea that it will pay Colorado’s premium tax in exchange for being able to expand its product lines and services. The company failed in a bid to become a private organization, separate from the state.
Business leaders weren’t impressed, however, and said not to expect legislation this session.
