McDonald’s sees 4.8 percent rise in profits

New items at the world’s largest restaurant chain mean that McDonald’s saw a 4.8 percent rise in profits for the first quarter of 2012, reported Bloomberg.

Net income was up to $1.27 billion from $1.21 billion a year earlier.

McDonald’s has sought to draw Americans with new and limited-time items, such as McCafe drinks and white-meat Chicken McBites.
