Brian Roa has joined Ent Business Banking to serve the credit union’s Fountain and Pueblo members. A Colorado native, Roa has more than 16 years of financial service experience. For the past eight years, Roa worked for Wells Fargo as a district manager and sales development consultant. In Roa’s new role, he will work with Ent’s business members at the credit union’s Pueblo, Spaulding, Rye and Fountain service centers.

The Board of Directors of Pikes Peak Prep named Dawn M. Nelson principal of Pikes Peak Prep, which serves about 300 students in K-12. Nelson joins Pikes Peak Prep from Lawndale High School in California where she was a high school administrator in a Title 1, urban school district. She has a background in education technology, alternative education to serve at-risk students and school improvement models, with particular expertise in small learning communities. Nelson began her teaching career as a language arts and technology instructor at Challenger Middle School in Colorado Springs.

Community Partnership for Child Development named Danniella Ewen human resources director, and promoted Marty Kemmer-Conteras to community relations director. Ewen comes to CPCD with 14 years of human resources experience. She holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and management from Augusta State University in Augusta, Ga., and an MBA from Texas State University. Kemmer-Contreras came to CPCD eight years ago as its professional development coordinator facilitating staff focus groups and trainings. Kemmer-Contreras has experience in volunteerism and the local nonprofit community. She is a graduate of Colorado College, and a 2010 graduate of Leadership Pikes Peak.

PENRAD Imaging named Pamela Burnelis director of marketing and public relations. Burnelis will be responsible for the organization’s full-range marketing needs as well as provider relations, public affairs, and business development. PENRAD Imaging offers freestanding radiology with 17 radiologists in a variety of sub-specialties to meet the needs of the community in imaging diagnoses.

Ryan Callaway has joined AdvantEdge Drywall as general superintendent. AdvantEdge is a drywall and acoustical ceiling subcontractor that serves a wide array of general contractors throughout the Pikes Peak region.

Veronica L. DeJoie is the Colorado Bar Association’s 2012 Pro Bono Paralegal of the Year Award recipient. DeJoie has worked as a paralegal, focusing on immigration, for 12 years. She works at the law firm Stern & Curry LLC. She regularly offers her legal services to immigrants in need at no charge.
