Senate puts brakes on bill for road construction funds

A bill to restore Colorado’s 6 percent growth cap and funnel more money to roads and bridges died in Senate committee, reports the Denver Business Journal.

Proponents of House Bill 1075 said some mechanism was needed to fund road and bridge projects. Opponents said the 6 percent growth cap would imit the ways Colorado can prioritize spending money.
