Build a Nuke plant :-)

Seriously - the drake plant provides very inexpensive coal fired power to much of the El Paso area (reasons many large energy consuming plants are located here). Yes it's old and monumental and kinda cool on a winter morning to see the 'cloud maker'.....

So, keep the Neustream equipment installation as planned to ensure our air STAYS clean. (or throw away $75M and years of joint efforts - much what this City Council does well)....then commission a study on the cost to build a brand new plant (not solar) somewhere or evaluate the costs to double the Nixon plant south of town (alternative idea). Ensure these studies include the millions of $$ in environmental remediation costs it will take to make the Drake site into usable and development ready land.

Side Fact - Bach will be long replaced as mayor and many of us long retired before any of the millions of deconstruction dollars would ever actually be funded to begin decommissioning, cuz we have to have a new energy generating source/plant fully operational and online prior to taking Drake offline....
