The Colorado Mining Association is asking the United States Supreme Court to weigh in on the debate about protecting 58.5 million acres of roadless public lands, according to the Denver Post.

The petition filed with the court argues that designating an area as “roadless” is a de facto wilderness designation, and only Congress can designate wilderness areas.
