Sports Hall of Fame Banquet
Tickets are on sale now for the Sports Hall of Fame annual banquet and induction ceremony, presented for the Colorado Springs Sports Corp. The banquet is Oct. 30 at the Colorado Springs World Arena. PPRTA Open House
The City hosts a Pikes Peak Regional Transportation Authority Open House from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. June 7, at the City Administration Building in Suite 102. Information on the list of projects being considered, if the capital portion of the sales tax is extended with voter approval, will be available for review and comment.
The Colorado Department of Revenue offers a three-hour business tax class from 1 to 4 p.m. regarding the laws surrounding state sales and use taxes applicable to businesses conducting sales in Colorado. This class is for new businesses in Colorado, taxpayers considering opening a business in Colorado, tax preparers consulting with Colorado clients on this topic, and/or those who need a refresher course on Colorado sales/use tax laws. Business Tax Symposium
The Colorado Department of Revenue and several home-rule municipalities offer an all-day Business Tax Symposium from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Denver. The seminar is for businesses located in and outside Colorado, tax preparers who prepare sales/use tax returns for Colorado businesses, tax-exempt organizations and anyone else interested in learning more about Colorado sales/use tax laws should attend. Grant Writing workshop
The City hosts a Grant Writing USA two-day workshop from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 26 and 27 from 9 a.m. at the Mountain Metropolitan Transit facility, 1015 Transit Drive — off Hancock Expressway, between Fountain and Union.
