Air Force reconsidering low flights over Colorado

The United States Air Force is backing away from a plan that would establish a huge training area for low-altitude flights over much of Colorado, said the Aspen Daily News.

The plan called for training flights to fly as low as 300 feet above the ground across a 60,700-square-mile area including the Elk, Sawatch and San Juan mountains.
