Most Colo. hospitals miss the grade for patient safety

Only seven hospitals in Colorado earns A grades for patient safety, said Colorado Public News.

In Colorado Springs, both Memorial Health System and Penrose-St. Francis Health Services earned Cs.

The Washington-based Leapfrog Group is focusing on ending unnecessary deaths, infections and injuries at hospitals. The group says there are 180,000 such injuries every year.
