Metro State OKs lower tuition for illegal immigrants

Metro State College trustees officially approved a proposal to lower tuition payments to illegal immigrants, said the Denver Business Journal.

The rate approved is higher than in-state tuition, but lower than what legal U.S. residents living in other states will pay.

The new rate for full-time Metro State students is $3,358.30 per semester, which amounts to 150 percent of in-state tuition plus a 10 percent fee for capital contributions.
