Attorney General John Suthers is reviewing the legality of Metro State’s decision to lower tuition for illegal immigrants living in Colorado, said the Denver Post.
Illegal immigrants currently pay out-of-state tuition to attend most Colorado universities. Metro State lowered that to a rate that is higher than in-state tuition, but not as high as what residents of other states must pay.
Suthers said another institution of higher learning asked him to review the new rule.
