Elizabeth Bailey and her family were guests of honor at the pre-tourney at the ProRodeo Hall of Fame June 7. She is among the more than 8,000 families who have called the Ronald McDonald House, 311 N. Logan, home-away-from-home. Elizabeth is 7 and has been paralyzed from the neck down on three separate occasions, forcing her to relearn to walk and speak — the effects of an inoperable brain tumor on her brain stem.
Her story was featured in April before a world-wide audience of 20,000 and the Bailey’s became, in a sense, the face of the Ronald McDonald House Charities worldwide.
Elizabeth gifted original artwork to the Ronald McDonald House, Children’s Hospital, ProRodeo Hall of Fame and Texas Roadhouse as an expression of thanks to be auctioned.
