Uninsured angst rises as $1,000 premiums loom on court ruling

As many as 33 million people are poised to gain coverage under the Affordable Care Act in 2014, if the Supreme Court doesn’t overturn the $1.1 trillion overhaul.

Those people – some of whom pay thousands a month in premium costs – are waiting for the justices’ decision due sometime this month.

Right now, just over 16 percent of the U.S. population doesn’t have health care insurance.
