Cheaper gas, midweek holiday boost July 4 travel

Travel during July 4  is Colorado is expected to rise by at least 4.8 percent higher than 2011, according to the Denver Business Journal.

The reason: cheaper gas and the fact the holiday falls on Wednesday.

The report is based on a survey  IHS Global Insight.
