Statewide fire ban lifted

Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper has lifted the statewide ban on outdoor fires, but has left it up to individual cities and counties to decide if the ban needs to be in place, said the Denver Post.

When the statewide fire ban went into effect on June 14, at least 44 of Colorado’s 64 counties were classified as having “high,” “very high,” or “extreme” fire danger.

The ban remains in place in El Paso County and Colorado Springs.
