Speed Networking

The Greater Colorado Springs Chamber and EDC hosts speed networking from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at Springs Orleans, 123 E. Pikes Peak Ave.

Grant Writing workshop

The city hosts a Grant Writing USA two-day workshop from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Mountain Metropolitan Transit facility, 1015 Transit Drive — off Hancock Expressway, between Fountain and Union. You do not have to be associated with the City to register.

The cost is $425 which includes tuition, workbook, a resource CD and lifetime, free access to Grant Writing USA’s alumni forums. Various continuing education and university credit are available for this class.

Annual Cyber Security Training Conference

The cyber security training conference will be Aug. 1 at the Crowne Plaza and will bring in experts from the Department of Defense, government, industry and academia and research, to share ideas, exchange information, promote best practices and engage in discussions on ways to further protect and strengthen the defensive posture of information systems.

SCORE hosts a free workshop to help entrepreneurs assess and document their business plans from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Colorado Springs Technology Incubator, 3595 E. Fountain Blvd. room J2. Colorado PTAC will present a government to business outreach program from 8:30 a.m. to noon at Colorado Technical University, 4435 N. Chestnut St. room 252.
