John Suits has been named system service line director, community outreach and public policy director with Centura Health. He was previously director of business development and government relations for Memorial Health System.
Neal McCraw has joined Merrick & Company as a senior account executive for the nuclear services and technology team. McCraw will be responsible for expanding Merrick’s commercial nuclear facilities business across the U.S. and globally in support of Merrick’s 14 offices.
The El Paso County Board of Health appointed Jill Law as El Paso County public health director, and named Dr. Bill Letson as the agency’s medical director. Law has served as the interim public health director since March 2012 following the retirement of executive director Kandi Buckland. Law received her registered nurse degree from Beth-El College of Nursing at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs and has a master’s degree in health administration from the University of Phoenix.
Letson has had a career in research and implementation activities in public health, pediatrics and infectious diseases. He has a bachelor’s degree in environmental biology from the University of Colorado, Boulder; a master’s degree in zoology from Colorado State University; and a doctor of medicine from the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Denver. He has been published widely and served several faculty appointments.
The Home Front Cares named George Hayward its first development manager. The longtime communications professional is responsible for the nonprofit’s marketing, outreach and fundraising.
An Air Force veteran, Hayward has more than 20 years of public relations, marketing and journalism experience, including the past eight years in Colorado Springs.
The U.S. Small Business Administration appointed Bryson Patterson as regional trade finance specialist for the Rocky Mountain West. His role is to assist small businesses exporters. Patterson covers Utah, Wyoming and Colorado out of the U.S. Export Assistance Center in Denver.
Richard F. Celeste has been named senior adviser to Sturman Industries. Celeste is a past U.S. Ambassador to India, a former Ohio Governor, past director of the Peace Corps and the immediate-past president of Colorado College. In his role at Sturman, he will work to increase the visibility of Sturman’s work and promote new business opportunities.
