McDonald’s is rolling out a new low-calorie menu in Colorado.
The fast food chain will introduce its “Favorites under 400 calories” in Colorado locations and drive-thrus. The menu is planned for a national rollout, but will begin in Colorado, according to a release from McDonald’s.
The menu features regular McDonald’s meals that are fewer than 400 calories.
“We’ve found that customers are surprised to learn about the calorie content of some of their favorite menu options at McDonald’s,” said Tom Carlson, Jr., a McDonald’s owner/operator in Denver. “In fact, customers may be surprised to know that about 80 percent of our national menu choices are under 400 calories for the standard recipe.”
