Jobless claims decrease, extending July volatility

Fewer Americans than expected filed first-time unemployment claims last week, said Bloomberg.

Unemployment claims dropped by 35,000 and analysts say that changes in seasonal layoffs at auto plants make it hard to pre-determine unemployment figures. But declines in Europe will mean a slow labor market here.
