Furnace World seeks military families to adopt

Local business owners at Furnace World are doing more than just displaying yellow ribbons and talking about their military support.

Lisa and Jeff Coffy are launching a new program to adopt military families with deployed spouses for every new heating and air conditioning unit they sell.

“We are ready to adopt 12 military families through this new program,” said Lisa Coffy, CEO of Furnace World. “What this means it hat we will go out and do annual maintenance on an adopted family’s furnace and air conditioner for free. We’ll make sure all of their mechanical equipment is function and there are no carbon monoxide or gas leaks. It’s so rewarding as a company full of heart-centered technicians to use our skills to make a difference in the community.

Coffy’s husband, Jeff, served in the United States Air Force as a heating systems specialist for four years before starting his first HVAC company, Climate Technology.

“We know and understand the unique challenges faced by military families, and we are proud to do our part to make sure these families have one less thing to worry about while their spouses are deployed,” Jeff Coffy said.
