Investors bought two of the 36properties that sold at the El Paso County Public Trustee’s foreclosure auction Wednesday, Aug. 1. The rest of the properties were returned to the lenders.
The Equity Trust Company custodian FBO for Thomas H. Beeson IRA paid $70,500 for a 1,027-square-foot ranch home built in 1958 at 2561 Caramillo St. East (80909). That was more than lender Deutsche Bank’s initial bid of $62,459. Carla Barrows borrowed $97,200 on the property in May 2009. The El Paso County Assessor estimates the home’s market value at $120,268.
Jeffrey G. Crank paid $67,550 for a 1,010-square-foot ranch home built in 1956 at 815 S. Sheridan Ave. (80910). That was $50 more than lender Wells Fargo’s initial bid. Sarah and Brian Lacey borrowed $95,400 on the property in March 2003. The El Paso County Assessor estimates the home’s market value at $135,108.
