Ron Chernak, principal and founder of First Business Brokers, Ltd., recently passed the FINRA Series 79 Investment Banking exam, enabling him to provide a comprehensive suite of investment banking services to clients. He formed The FBB Group, Ltd., which consists of two firms; First Business Brokers, Ltd., which will continue to offer traditional business brokerage services relating to the valuation and sale of privately held businesses; and CFA Colorado, LLC, providing investment banking services for larger, more complex transactions. “The FBB Group will use its combined resources to deploy multiple types of transaction structures for the benefit of its clients,” Chernak said. “We will be able to provide more options, including stock transactions, which is something we could not do previously.”
Andy O’Riley, vice president of Blue Star Recyclers, received the Outstanding Outreach Award by the Colorado Association for Recycling at its annual summit in Pueblo. The award recognizes O’Riley’s efforts to build awareness of electronics recycling through public education, community partnerships and recycling events, legislative advocacy and media coverage coordination throughout Colorado.
Blue Star Recyclers is a 501c3 social enterprise with a mission of recycling electronics to create local jobs for people with disabilities. Serving southern Colorado since 2009, Blue Star Recyclers has created 17 local jobs and recycled more than 2.5 million pounds of electronics.
