Apple loses Japanese lawsuit against Samsung
A Japanese judge ruled against Apple Inc. in a patent lawsuit against Samsung, said Bloomberg.
The judge ruled that under Japanese law, Samsung did not infringe on Apple’s patents. A U.S. judge awarded a $1 billion settlement to Apple last week. The Tokoyo judge, however, ordered Apple to pay Samsung’s court costs and attorneys’ fees.
Samsung’s stocks rose on the news.
