I had no idea. We’ve lived within walking distance for five years, but it was such an overwhelmingly unpleasant place five years ago that, after trying it once, we never went back. What an amazing experience! First started with a beer on tap…none of the brands I recognized. Had a brown ale that was one of the best I have had! Ordered some food, and had the buffalo jalapeño bratwurst, and then had the French onion soup…which was absolutely outstanding with a glass of their house Cabernet…WOW! Tried the sweet potato soup which was really good, but I personally liked the French onion soup better. Finished it off with an amazing slice of cake. Can’t wait to go back there again! Lived in CO my whole life, and had never been to Palmer Lake before. I would recommend a trip to Palmer Lake just to go to the Speedtrap…let alone to see beautiful Palmer Lake.
