Avalanche Creek mine nearer to opening
The alabaster and marble mine in the Crystal River Valley might be closer to opening, reports the Denver Post.
The latest in a series of complicated court proceedings appears to favor the mining company. Earlier, the forest service had limited winter use of the mine because of bighorn sheep. But a judge found that extended operations would not harm sheep habitat.
