Small-town movie theaters closing due to switch to digital

The movie industry has changed dramatically in recent years, and if small town theaters don’t keep up – they’ll go out of business, according to the Washington Post.

The problem is the sudden switch from film, an industry standard since about 1910, to digital — a format that’s cheaper for both studios and distributors.
