Thousands of people and hundreds of businesses will ascend on downtown this weekend for the third annual “What If Festival,” which this year will include “best entrepreneur” award from the Peak Venture Group.
The festival, a celebration of innovation and imagination, is scheduled 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 15. It will be spread over six square blocks and include interactive exhibitions from hundreds of Springs businesses, entrepreneurs and inventors.
Several food vendors will be on hand and live entertainment can be found on any of the festival’s six stages.

The festival site includes the Pikes Peak Center, the Pioneers Museum, the Sun building lawn and the Plaza of the Rockies.
Interactive activities include robots, cycling and dancing cycles, and returning this year is festival-favorite Lockheed Martin’s giant slingshot that hurls water balloons into the side of the Pikes Peak Center.
