The iPhone 5 unveiled yesterday will force users to buy new chargers, docks and iPhone-ready clock radios, said the New York Times.
The iPhone’s new connector, called the Lightning Base, is smaller and shaped differently from previous versions of the iPhone. An adapter for all the equipment starts at $30.
However, while customers find that irritating, Apple’s partners are happy – the Lightning Base is a boon to companies who sell the accessories.
