Boeing receives $1.9 billion plane order

Boeing Co. has won a $1.9 billion contract from the U.S. Navy to build maritime surveillance planes, said the Chicago Tribune.

About three-quarters of the work on the P-8 Poseidon multi-service aircraft will be done in Seattle, the company said. It’s the third batch of surveillance planes ordered by the Navy, with 24 now under contract.
