Biofuel company to shutter Minnesota plant

Denver-based Biofuel Energy Corp. will shut down a plant in Minnesota, said the Denver Business Journal.

The company cites weakening profit margins for the move, saying the company will remain idle until corn prices are better. A drought in the Midwest let to lower-than-expected corn yields this fall.

A plant in Nebraska will continue to operate.
