Boulder considers Pearl Street smoking ban

Boulder residents are interested in banning smoking on the popular Pearl Street mall, according to the Boulder Daily Camera.

The ban will be discussed next month, with a public hearing in November.  If passed, it would ban smoking on the mall – even outdoors, even at night – and on the lawn of the Boulder County Courthouse.

The maximum penalty would be $1,000 fine or 90 days in jail.
