Pawtoberfest, a Humane Society of Pikes Peak Region fundraiser, is moving its festivities this weekend to the Norris-Penrose Indoors Arena as temperatures are expected to cool down.
A 5k and 3K run is still on and registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 6; races and festival activities begin at 10 a.m. at Bear Creek East.
Parking will stay the same; all the festival activities including the doggie costume contest, beer garden and agility course are still on; and venders will still have pet swag inside Norris-Penrose arena.
Participants can register at the event for $40 ($20 for children). Festival activities are free. All donations and 100 percent of all beer garden proceeds go directly to the Humane Society. Organizers are hoping to raise $100,000.
