Aventa Credit Union recently named Sarah Henderson its new senior vice president of finance/CFO. Henderson was formerly the AVP of accounting/controller and has been with Aventa for 13 years.

She will oversee the activities of the accounting department and perform asset liability management function for the credit union, as well as liquidity and investment responsibilities.

Tamara Gormsen has joined Peoples Bank in Colorado Springs as vice president of commercial lending. Gormsen has experience in commercial loan origination, underwriting and analysis. She has more than two decades of experience, the past four years with UMB Bank.

Mark Gazette has joined SmartWatt Energy as operations manager in its Pueblo office. He was previously with Pueblo City Schools as director of facilities management, planning and construction. Gazette has experience in both facility and operations management. He graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering technology.

Moe Lopez has been promoted to shipping/receiving manager at the Paper Hive. Lopez has eight years of experience and was previously with Xpedex.

Girl Scouts of Colorado appointed Renita Wolf to its board of directors. Wolf is senior strategy consultant for Wells Fargo Funds Management, LLC.

Dr. Benjamin A. Delano has joined Penrose-St. Francis Health Services. Delano is the only surgeon in southern Colorado with subspecialty fellowship training in colorectal surgery. As a member of Penrose Cancer Center’s gastrointestinal cancer multidisciplinary team, he works closely with other specialists to determine the best treatment strategy for colorectal cancer patients. Delano is part of Colorado Springs Surgical Associates.

Mert Bildiren has been named project engineer at Kumar & Associates, Inc.

Amanda Woller has joined the organizational consulting team at Corvirtus, a provider of science-based measurement and services. As part of the team of industrial/organizational psychologists, Woller will work with Corvirtus clients to design talent measures aligned with corporate culture and business goals. Previously, Woller was an organizational development specialist with Trinity Marine Products, Inc., a manufacturer of barges used to transport cargo on U.S. inland waterways. Woller has a master’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology from Middle Tennessee University.

Sandy Wenger has been named director of operations of Conspire! She was previously with Colorado Springs Regional Business Alliance. As the director of operations, Wenger will help the corporate office and the franchisees with website management, social media, oversight of marketing intelligence tools, IT support and new product research and development. She also will evaluate and expand appropriate operational systems for improvement of corporate efficiency, as well as consortium research and drug prevention town hall events.
