Air Force Academy cadets and professors are attempting to engage students’ interest in science, engineering, math and technology careers.
A team of 30 cadets and four professors will be in Pueblo at Chavez-Huerta Preparatory School in Pueblo for the entire class day, providing demonstrations about rockets, robots, gliders, physics and chemistry.
The activities are part of the Academy’s multidisciplinary and multi-pronged approach to meeting the STEM outreach, which are designed to stimulate youth interest in careers in math and science fields.
The academy offers STEM activities locally as well, both on the Air Force Academy and at local schools. STEM lesson plans are available here.
