The Neumann Education Foundation received a boost in support this week, when all the superintendents at school districts in El Paso County signed a resolution for the nonprofit.
Founded by Dave Neumann, a former Air Force Academy professor and owner of Neumann Systems Group, the nonprofit wants to put iPads in the hands of all 51,000 elementary school children in the county.
Neumann announced the nonprofit earlier this year, and completed an initial pilot project in a school in the Lewis-Palmer school district. It’s started four additional pilot projects in Harrison, Colorado Springs, Falcon and Peyton school districts. All five projects are fully funded.
The group is raising money to equip all the remaining first grade classrooms in 2013.
