St. Francis Medical Center CEO to step down

St. Francis Medical Center CEO Nate Olson will step down early next year to take the position of president and CEO of St. Peter’s Hospital in Helena, Mont.

Olson has been the CEO of St. Francis since it opened in August 2008, at the intersection of Woodmen Road and Powers Boulevard, the northern branch of Penrose-St. Francis Health Services. In the past year, he has also taken on duties as vice president of distributed delivery for Centura Health’s South State Operating Group and is the executive sponsor for Centura Health’s pediatric service line.

A graduate of Woodland Park High School, Olson also has leadership roles at the American Heart Association and the YMCA.

St. Peter’s is a community-owned, nonprofit hospital with 123 bed, which provides health care to a five-county region in southwest Montana.
