City to hold open house about Tejon St. roundabout

Colorado Springs will hold an open house to discuss the installation of a roundabout at the five-legged intersection of Tejon Street, Cascade Avenue, Ramona Avenue and Cheyenne Boulevard.

The open house is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. on Dec. 11 at St. Aiden’s Anglican Church, 1626 S. Tejon St.

Engineers from the project team and the city will be available to answer questions and collect public input. The open house will include displays and exhibits showing the concept and explaining how roundabouts work.

The exiting intersection is confusing to navigate and creates traffic delays. Its bike lanes and approaches or sub-standard and don’t allow for safe bike travel, says the city.

One Response to City to hold open house about Tejon St. roundabout

  1. I am happy they hired these so called key positions for our community.

Why do you relieve those of their duties after exceptional service for over a decade only to replace them with new and very young faces that have barely lived in our community very long?

I do not understand why we reach outside our community to fill positions with people who I am sure are competent but do not know our economic climate and who have long standing relationships in our city on many levels?

Just a thought to ponder in this day and age of our throw away society !
