Pikes Peak Regional Hospital gets new CEO

Terry Buckner will be the new CEO of the Pikes Peak Regional Hospital and Surgery Center in Woodland Park.

Buckner will replace Dolores Horvath, who retired earlier this year.

Buckner is a native of Oklahoma and brings more than 20 years health care management experience to the new role. He previously worked at the Eastern Oklahoma Medical Center in Poteau, Okla., a 64-bed facility, where he created positive financial margins and was successful in recruiting doctors to the hospital.

Chief Nursing Officer Rodney Bice was the interim CEO of the 15-bed Teller County hospital.
