Jen Merrigan has joined Studio C3, a Colorado Springs-based creative video production and design company, as account services manager. In her role, she will continue the company’s growth focusing on strategic guidance and day-to-day client support. She has eight years of experience working for full-service agencies in Chicago and Milwaukee on regional, national and international campaigns.
The University of Colorado Colorado Springs has named Mary Coussons-Read its new provost. As provost, she will direct the academic and research mission of the university in addition to providing leadership for student affairs functions.
Marcia Holly, a community manager for Colorado Association Services, earned her Professional Community Association Manager designation from Community Associations Institute. The designation sets her apart as an expert in the industry and allows her to better serve homeowners and communities with advanced skills and knowledge of community association management. Holly is a graduate of Arizona State University. Before joining CAS in December 2011, Holly gained experience at other association management firms, including Certified Hawaii.
Cory McGray has been named assistant general manager of the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Colorado Springs South. McGray has been with SpringHill for more than three years and has worked in every department at the hotel.
Bill Morris, CEO and co-founder of Blue Star Recyclers, has been selected as a Beanstalk Foundation Leader. The Denver-based Foundation provides a crowd-funding platform for community leaders and their charitable projects. Blue Star Recyclers is an award-winning 501c3 social enterprise based in Colorado Springs, with a mission of recycling electronics and other materials to create jobs for people with disabilities.
Peak Vista Community Health Centers Foundation named new board officers for 2013. They are: Loren George — chairperson; Steve Ingham — vice-chairperson; Sally Hybl — secretary; and Jason Doyle — treasurer. Peak Vista Community Health Centers Foundation was established in 2005 as a separate non-profit organization. The Foundation raises money to support the programs and services provided by Peak Vista Community Health Centers.
The Colorado Springs Leadership Institute elected new board members. They are Steve Self (BBVA Compass) as the 2013 chairman; and Stephannie Finley (UCCS) as the vice chair. In addition, CSLI recently expanded the board of directors. New board members are: Sue Grant (Fourth Judicial District), Fletcher Howard (Colorado Springs Police Department), BJ Scott (Peak Vista Community Health Foundation), and Joshua Waymire (Colorado Wealth Management). All board members are graduates from the annual CSLI leadership program at the Center for Creative Leadership.
