Goodwill raises $10 million in record capital campaign

Discover Goodwill has raised $10 million in 18 months, the nonprofit’s largest capital campaign in its 50-year history.

The Paths to Independence campaign raised cash and in-kind donations to support programs, services and operations for people with disabilities and disadvantages. Contributions have been designated for Goodwill’s life-skills program, called Possibilities, the consolidation of staff and programs at the nonprofit’s new Garden of the Gods campus and a state-of-the-industry tunnel washer for the organization’s Fresh Start Commercial Laundry enterprise.

“Ultimately, the success of this historic campaign was due to the overwhelming generosity and diversity of our donors — including lead donations by the El Pomar Foundation and the Daniels Fund valued at nearly $6.5 million,” said  President and CEO Karla Grazier.
