First Choice Emergency Room, a freestanding emergency room, opened today on Powers Boulevard.
First Choice Emergency Room operates 17 facilities in the U.S. The company has nine locations in the Houston area, five in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, two in the Austin area and now one in Colorado Springs, at 2770 Powers Blvd. which is open 24 hours, 365 days a year.
“We are very pleased to open the first facility in Colorado today,” said Dr. Andrew Kosmowski, facility medical director of First Choice Emergency Room’s Colorado Springs facility. “We are looking forward to serving the Colorado Springs community and providing our patients with the highest quality emergency medical care.”
To celebrate the grand opening, First Choice Emergency Room made a $5,000 donation to Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado.
“This gift of $5,000 will allow us to provide more than 40,000 meals throughout Southern Colorado,” said Lynne Telford, Care and Share president and CEO.
First Choice Emergency Room facilities are staffed with board-certified emergency physicians and emergency trained registered nurses. The facilities are equipped with state of the art diagnostic technology, including a CT scanner, digital X-ray and ultrasound.
