The Better Business Bureau of Southern Colorado is hosting its monthly Benefits 101 class from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at its offices at 25 N. Wahsatch Ave. Lunch is provided and the event is free. For accredited businesses that would like to customize their free ShopMyBBB.com web page, there will be an editing class afterward from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m.

“Green” bag lunch-n-learn

The city’s next Lunch-n-Learn session will feature the nonprofit ICAST’s ResourceSmart program, which helps businesses and multi-family housing owners make energy upgrades both easy and affordable. The Colorado Department of Revenue is hosting a tax class for contractors and manufacturers that covers new and relevant information on a variety of sales and use tax issues, including the liabilities businesses face when they are not in compliance.
