Carrie Pendergast joined Tri-Lakes Cares as development manager. Pendergast has a degree in psychology from Wake Forest University. She moved to Monument in 2009 from Chicago where she worked with Utopic LLC as a public relations specialist. She previously worked at Ecumenical Social Ministries as development director.

First Commercial Bank named Bill Casey senior vice president and commercial lender of the Colorado Springs branch. Casey has more than 25 years of experience in business banking and has been a resident of Colorado Springs for 13 years. He is involved with the Colorado Springs Rotary and Peak Venture Group.

Jeff Ackermann has been named director of the Colorado Energy Office. Ackermann currently leads research efforts at the Colorado Public Utilities Commission, focusing on issues ranging from electric system planning to effective use of energy efficiency and renewable energy. He established a research team for monitoring, analyzing and reporting on emerging trends and developments in Colorado’s energy sector for the Public Utilities Commission.

Bryan Construction has named Rich Allison as senior vice president — Denver operations. He is responsible for strategic planning, risk management and day-to-day execution of the company’s recently formed Denver business unit. Allison has 30 years of commercial construction experience in the Denver market and previously served as a senior executive for Adolfson & Peterson Construction and Milender White Construction Co.

Colorado Springs Country Club has named Cathy Matthews-Kane director of membership. Matthews-Kane has nearly 15 years of experience as a PGA professional in the golf business, most recently as membership golf professional at The Broadmoor. She has a degree in exercise and sport science from Iowa State University and an MBA from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs.

The Association of Executive Search Consultants has selected Bob L. Pearson, the founder, chairman and chief executive officer of Pearson Partners International, as the 2013 recipient of its Gardner W. Heidrick Award, a top award in the executive search profession.

Kirk Samelson has joined the law firm of Mulliken Weiner Berg & Jolivet, P.C. Samelson was the chief judge of Colorado’s Fourth Judicial District from 2007 to 2012. A graduate of the Air Force Academy and the University of Denver College of Law, he was president of the El Paso County Bar Association from 2006 to 2007 and was a member of the board of directors of the Air Force Academy Association of Graduates and Pikes Peak Highway Commission. Samelson practices in the areas of mediation, arbitration, water law, and civil and commercial litigation.

BiggsKofford has named Kris Ponnequin, CPA, as manager. He joins BiggsKofford from LaPorte CPAs and Business Advisors, a Houston-based firm, where he led the tax team and served private equity, real estate, construction, manufacturing, distribution and oil and gas clients with technical tax issues. Before working at LaPorte, he was a tax manager at Hein & Co. and earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Tulane University and his master’s degree in tax from the University of New Orleans.

Nicole M. Ries has joined Erickson, Brown & Kloster as a staff accountant. She will be working primarily in the tax department.

Amber Wolcott has been named online communications director at Red Energy Public Relations, Advertising and Events. She will manage several accounts in international franchise development, retail and construction industries. Before joining Red Energy, Wolcott managed public relations for Bay Stage Lighting of Tampa and worked on accounts such as the Republican National Convention, Sun Trust Financial Centre and Super Bowl XLIII.

Brittany Bermensolo has been promoted to media and special events director for Red Energy Public Relations, Advertising and Events. She will oversee several contracts, including the Colorado Association for Recycling’s annual summit support in Keystone, and community outreach, news and social media management for The Citadel Mall.

Shane Irons has been promoted to service manager at Bob Penkhus Automotive at the Austin Bluffs location. He has 25 years of experience and previously was assistant service manager.

Brianna Colbrunn has been named member services coordinator at Housing and Building Association of Colorado Springs. She previously worked for Vail Resorts and Norris Penrose Events Center. She’s a graduate of Colorado State University and Denver School of Massage Therapy.

Central Bancorp has promoted Jill Webb to vice president of business development, working with business owners and their growth needs and matching them with Central Bancorp experts and professionals. Webb is co-chair of the Western Cyber Exchange’s mobilization committee and an active member of the Home Builders Association, among a number of other local organizations.

The Corundum Group — a division of Central Bancorp — has named Lucas Hale operations manager, supporting the chief operating officer in daily account servicing, including reporting and reconciliation and continual streamlining. He most recently served as assistant controller and IT manager at a local private equity real estate firm. He’s a member of the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Stockman Kast Ryan + Co. has named Laura Souder an audit consultant. She previously was with Downtown Emergency Service Center in Seattle. Souder has a degree in psychology and history from Eastern Mennonite University and a degree in business administration, accounting emphasis, from the University of Washington.
