Nancy Wilson, the Front Range regional director for Mile High Youth Corps in Colorado Springs, has joined the board of directors of the Colorado Youth Corps Association. Wilson has a bachelor of science degree in nonprofit management from Regis University and has 25 years of nonprofit and youth development experience.

Banking and finance

Stephen Smith has joined Academy Bank as vice president of commercial banking. He has more than 20 years of banking experience, 11 of which were spent in Colorado Springs. Smith is also a director of the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak region.

Mortgage Solutions of Colorado recently hired Gordon Thorn as executive vice president of corporate and legal affairs. Thorn has 20 years of experience in corporate financial management, human-resource management and employee benefits administration, and as legal counsel. Most recently, he was with Tax Favored Benefits Inc. as director of finance.

Aventa Credit Union has named Howard Smith as mortgage manager. He has more than 42 years of lending experience. Before coming to Aventa, he worked for eight years at Rocky Mountain Bank and Trust as chief credit officer.

Health Care

AspenPointe’s board of directors has selected Dr. Mick Pattinson as the Colorado Springs-based organization’s CEO. Pattinson will replace Morris L. Roth, who is retiring in August. Pattinson is currently the CEO of Northern Arizona Regional Behavioral Health Authority.


Matt Lundberg has joined RMG Engineers Group as a residential engineer. He has six years’ experience in structural engineering services, specializing in residential wood framing and foundation design.

Paper Hive recently hired new operations manager, Kelley Patton. A veteran of the paper business, Patton brings 25 years of experience to the job.
