Cherie Gorby has joined Colorado Springs Health Partners as chief operations officer. She will serve as a collaborator on the CSHP executive team and oversee primary and specialty care practices. Gorby most recently served as care coordination manager for Community Health Partnership in Colorado Springs, where she acted as liaison with community resources to promote organizational interdisciplinary collaboration for Community Care of Central Colorado.

Community Health Partnership has promoted Laura Thomas to the position of coordination manager for Region 7 Regional Care Collaborative Organization Care. She replaces Cherie Gorby. Thomas has been with CHP since November 2012, after retiring from Memorial Health System with 28 years of service in various positions. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio.


DIRECTV Sports Networks announced today that David Woodman has been named general manager of its Root Sports network in the Rocky Mountain region. Woodman will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, including team relations, event productions, ad sales and marketing. He is a veteran television executive with more than 25 years of experience. Most recently, he served as Managing Director of the Americas for UK-based Motive Television Inc.


Drexel, Barrell & Co. has promoted Keith Hensel to the position of senior associate. He is a senior civil engineer and earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Metropolitan State College of Denver. He has 28 years’ experience in the field.

Kumar & Associates has hired Melissa Housey as an environmental planner. She has more than 16 years of experience in environmental planning and permitting and natural resource restoration with a specific focus on multidisciplinary National Environmental Policy Act issues. Her background includes working with various federal, state, and local agencies overseeing the restoration of riparian habitat, enhancement and establishment of wetlands, and the restoration and enhancement of streams and other open waters.


Brig. Gen. Ryan Gonsalves, the Army 4th Infantry Division’s deputy commanding general for maneuver, is leaving Fort Carson because he now has been assigned to work at the Pentagon, where he will serve as the Director of Operations, Readiness and Mobilization.

Banking and Finance

Ryan Styre has joined Colorado State Bank and Trust’s Wealth Management Division as vice president, trust officer. His office will be at the Colorado State Bank and Trust office space under construction at 10807 New Allegiance Drive.
