Summer Concert Series

The Downtown Partnership kicks off its summer concert series with the Modbo with a concert by Kings of Space at 6 p.m. in Acacia Park. After the concert, there will be live music in the alleys west of Tejon and north of Bijou, south of Bijou between Tejon and Cascade, and south of Platte between Tejon and Cascade. Bands include Swelter and Burn, Psycho Tease, MoDT and Cruzzes.

Women’s Chamber Ultimate Night Out

The Southern Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce will hold its Ultimate Night Out from 5 to 7 p.m. at World Golf. The hat theme this month is “Tee’d Off.” Members are invited to wear their most creative hats to the event. The winner will receive a free round of miniature golf and a margarita. The Small Business Administration will hold a class on receiving HubZone and Women-Owned Small Business certification. Topics include eligibility, requirements and benefits. Colorado Springs Mayor Steve Bach will talk about his second year in office, focusing on jobs, transforming city government and building community, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the International Center at The Broadmoor hotel.
