The company said in a news release July 19 that it plans to fill dozens of positions each month until the end of the year, which will top the center at 2221 E. Bijou St. out at more than 850 employees.
“The success of Time Warner Cable has led to significant growth and a need to fill a variety of openings,” said Doyle Minton, Time Warner Cable’s vice president of customer care. “We are fortunate to be in the position to grow our workforce and add to the Time Warner Cable team that is already more than 700-strong in Colorado Springs.”
The company plans to recruit workers by hosting monthly hiring events, which will also give potential candidates a chance to meet leaders and learn about hours, pay and training. According to the release, the first hiring event is Thursday and will focus on recruiting 40 outbound sales agents.
The company said that more information about future hiring events will be posted as available at jobs.timewarnercable.com.
In the release, Mayor Steve Bach said that “The city is very thankful that Time Warner Cable is adding jobs in Colorado Springs. We need more stable, well-paying opportunities for our citizens. This news is a great next step toward that goal.”
