The plan is to add 90 more units to the 177 apartments already built in the complex, just north of Monument Marketplace on the east side of Jackson Creek Parkway. Construction on 3.74 acres will start early next yeaand will be completed in the summer. Pre-leasing begins in the summer of 2014.
The expansion will include 46 one-bedroom units ranging from 762 to 860 square feet and 48 two-bedroom units ranging from 1,023 to 1,277 square feet. Six three bedroom apartments are 1,336 square feet.
The development is one of the largest mixed-use residential and commercial centers in El Paso County, according to developers.
Kephart Architects of Denver is the project architect and Westworks of Colorado Springs is the civil engineering firm. Colorado Structures is the project’s general contractor. The property is managed by Riverstone Residential Group. Colorado Structures was the original builder for the complex, and for neighboring Monument Marketplace.
